Dr Zeeshan Arain is a Sports Medicine specialist at Back, Neck and Joint, and a qualified General Practitioner. With over 20 years of experience working across a range of different medical fields, he has worked in emergency medicine, medical education, concussion research, nutrition, and weight loss. Across all avenues of his medical career, Zee’s ultimate passion is to help people feel healthy and pain-free – the best version of themselves.

Zee’s experience with elite sport and related medical attention is vast, having worked as head doctor for Melbourne Demons AFL club for 8 years, as well as other positions including involvement with Melbourne Storm NRL and the Malaysian track cycling team. This experience has exposed him to a range of different pain conditions and ongoing and upcoming treatment methods. The rewarding nature of sports medicine inspired Zee to lend a greater focus to this area.

Training in interventional pain by local and international experts, Zee also holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Monash University, and a Master of Public Health and tropical Medicine from James Cook University. He has been a member of the Royal Australian College of General Practice for over 10 years.

Zee continues to see patients across a range of locations, consulting out of Back, Neck and Joint 3 days a week, and conducting procedures at Monash House Private Hospital. He is continuously driven in his work to deliver a holistic approach that enables a diverse range of pain patients to regain independence and autonomy over their lives.
